When you own a company, or you are a supervisor over several people, you should consider appreciation plaques as a way of showing your respect for a job well done. There are many types of workers, and the ones who do a good job should be rewarded for that.

Praise is something that every manager and supervisor should be taught. Even if no praise was ever given to them, they should pass on this good practice, not the practice of non-appreciation that they had experienced.

When appreciation is shown, the worker feels good. He feels good enough to continue doing it, because he was recognized and acknowledged. A certificate, a trophy, or a plaque should be given when it is deserved. If your employee never misses a day of work, this is a very special employee. If you compare him to others who have an excuse for being late or not showing up at all on more occasions that you care to remember, the one who shows up should be recognized.

And there are many other reasons for rewarding an employee with a special plaque. They are for those who have outdone the others in one way or another. And the plaque can be taken home and shown to the family with pride. Then, even the family members know that he is doing a great job. And whether it gets put into a drawer, or hung on the wall, he is reminded of how he is respected and recognized in the workplace, no matter what his job is.
